Selling during divorce
A way through that protects your privacy.
The house is one piece of a much harder situation. The last thing you need is a sign in the yard or strangers walking through. We don't list the property, we don't put it on the MLS, and we close remotely with separate notaries if you and your ex never want to be in the same room again.
We work with both parties, or with one party and the attorney.
We've handled deals where one ex would not speak to the other and we never put them in the same email. We've also handled deals where they signed at the same closing. Either is fine. We follow your lead.
Remote closing is the default if you want it.
Many states allow remote online notarization. We can fund a sale without either party ever stepping into a title office. Documents are signed independently, on your own schedules, in your own cities.
We don't get between you and your attorney.
If you have a family-law attorney, we send every contract to them first. We will not ask you to sign anything before they say it's fine. If you don't have one, we'll point you to a few names; we don't take a referral fee.
The price is the price.
See how we calculate your offer. Whatever the agreement is between you, we'll honor the math. We don't try to use the situation to take a lower number.
